Organic tea - a growing market
An average of 68.2 liters of tea was consumed per capita in Germany in 2023, including 40.5 liters of herbal and fruit tea and 27.7 liters of green and black tea. This equates to 47.5 billion tea moments that German consumers indulged in over the course of the year. Particularly pleasing: at 15.5% of all teas sold, the organic share was still more than twice as high as the average share of all organic foods.
