Why organic tea is more than just a trend

When we talk about organic tea, two questions often come up: What makes it so special, and why should we choose it? The answer lies in its sustainable and ecological cultivation methods, which go far beyond its pure taste.naturally grown - for the environment and our health

Organic tea is cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Instead, tea farmers rely on natural methods such as the use of compost. This nutrient-rich fertilizer not only improves the fertility of the soil, but also protects it from erosion and promotes the long-term health of the cultivated areas. This preserves the basis for high-quality tea plants for many years.

Organic products make an important contribution to climate protection. The Federal Center for Nutrition (BZfE) states that organic farming consumes up to 40 percent less energy than conventional farming. This leads to a lower release of greenhouse gases.purity that you can taste. The absence of chemical additives preserves the natural taste of the tea. The result is an unadulterated, high-quality product that not only delights connoisseurs, but also gives them a good feeling - for their own health and the environment.

A conscious decision for the future

Organic tea is more than just a cup of tea. It is a statement for sustainability, environmental awareness and enjoyment without compromise. With every sip, we contribute to making the world a better place - for ourselves and future generations.

Organic tea - a growing market

An average of 68.2 liters of tea was consumed per capita in Germany in 2023, including 40.5 liters of herbal and fruit tea and 27.7 liters of green and black tea. This equates to 47.5 billion tea moments that German consumers indulged in over the course of the year. Particularly pleasing: at 15.5% of all teas sold, the organic share was still more than twice as high as the average share of all organic foods. Despite inflation and price sensitivity, the high demand for organic tea shows that consumers increasingly value sustainable and high-quality products. [Source: www.teeverband.de]
