Chai - Chai-Nese Latte
Very tasty
Ingredients
- 4 tsp Red Dragon® Chai
- 10 g cocoa powder
- 15 g sugar
- 400 ml whole milk or rice milk
- 10 g dark chocolate
- For the Topping:
- 100 ml whipped cream (or frothed milk)
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- 2 star anise pods
- Tip: Instead of whole milk, you can also use almond milk or other milk variants, how you like.
Spicy and zesty Red Dragon® Chai with ginger, cinnamon, pink pepper and chili goes perfectly with chocolate, so we turned it into a chai-chocolate extravaganza. An exotic, Far Eastern variation that will broaden your taste horizons.
Preparation
Mix cocoa powder with sugar, add 4 tbsp milk and stir until smooth. Place 6 tsp Red Dragon® Chai in a tea infuser, place in a pot with 400 ml milk, bring to a boil and let steep for 20 minutes. Stir in the cocoa mixture and chocolate.Heat the chai-infused milk again, stirring until it is just below the boiling point, whisk in the chocolate and cocoa powder mixture.
Whip 100 ml cream until stiff (or froth 100 ml milk). Pour the chai-infused milk into two glasses and top with the whipped cream (or frothed milk). Sprinkle with cocoa powder and decorate with a star anise pod.
