Chai - Macy´s Freak Chai Latte

- 8 tsp Happy Chai (43178)
- 500 ml milk
- 1-2 tsp sugar
- For the Topping:
- 50 g unsweetened dark chocolate (plain chocolate)
- 2 donuts
- 50 ml whipped cream (or spray whipped cream)
- 4 small chocolate cookies
- 2 tbsp mini-marshmallows
- 2 straws
- Tip: Instead of whole milk, you can also use other types of milk if desired.
As colourful and flamboyant as the American Thanksgiving parade, this chai recipe replaces cake with tea. Your guests will be amazed at what you can conjure up from a spice blend and just a few ingredients. You’ll be hard-pressed to find such a luscious creation in a café.
Place 6 tsp Happy Chai in a tea infuser or tea filter, place in a pot with 500 ml milk, bring to a boil and let steep for 10 minutes. Whip the cream until stiff; melt the chocolate over a water bath. Coat the rim of the cups with chocolate and decorate with mini marshmallows. Sweeten the hot chai-infused milk with 1-2 tsp sugar and pour into the mugs.
Place a donut on top of each filled mug and garnish with whipped cream (for best results, use a piping bag). To decorate, top the whipped cream with chocolate cookies and drizzle some melted chocolate over it, insert a straw and this festive work of holiday art is ready to enjoy!
