Matcha Mochi

A must for all Japan and green tea lovers!

Green Mochis - Two Japanese delicacies combined: Matcha tea powder and Mochis.

Preparation

  1. Start with mixing the gluten flour with water, sugar and matcha powder to a homogenous mass. Then place the dough in a bowl and cook it in the microwave at 800 watts for about 4 minutes. After that, it should be considerably stickier and tougher. Let it cool down for 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the cooled dough into small single portions and sprinkle with some glutinous rice flour. Now the cakes can easily be formed into balls.

The mochis can be eaten immediately or kept in the fridge.
