First Flush 2024
Spring is here and so are the first crops around the world!
We guarantee that we take great care in selecting and planning the quantities that we import as flight tea. The first plucks will arrive in May and we will keep you informed of their availability on this page/article.
Some of our customers are now deliberately favouring the lots that are being shipped by ocean freight. These are expected to arrive in Hamburg in June or early July.
- Darfeeling First Flush
These first black tea plucks from the Maharani Hills and Margaret's Hope gardens are characterised by their particularly floral, fresh taste. To achieve the unmistakable flavour, only the young, delicate green and fresh shoots are picked for our first flush teas and imported by air freight.
- Nepal First Flush
In addition to Darjeeling, there are other tea-growing regions that now produce excellent first flush qualities comparable to Darjeeling. These include the Guranse tea garden in Nepal. The tea garden produces a very pleasant first flush with many tips that ensure a smooth and comparatively green cup.
- Japan Shincha
Our Shincha from Japan has also become very popular with our customers - the wonderfully fresh flavour and intense umami note never fails to impress.
In addition to the boxed goods listed, we also offer our specialist retailers the practical 1kg retail packs as usual.
Darjeeling FTGFOP1 f.f. Margaret's Hope
This Darjeeling is harvested from exceptionally high-quality China tea bushes. A full-flavoured, mild Darjeeling from the first flush harvest, distinguished by subtle floral aromas and a light briskness. Garden-packed in original 2.5-kg chestlets. Size: 23.5 x 23.5 x 23.5 cm.

Darjeeling FTGFOP1 First Flush Sourenee Organic Tea*, 2.5 kg chest
The Sourenee garden is specialised in organically grown tea. Sourenee First Flush has a greenish leaf with silvery tips. The altitude of more than 1,600 meters gives the tea a comparably high-aromatic bouquet, floral-sweet notes as well as a full-bodied and distinctive taste.

Japan Shincha Gyokuro Homare Organic Tea*
Shincha refers to one of the highest quality Japanese green teas. It is the First Flush in Japan. The leaf smells extremely fresh and vegetal. The taste is convincing with a subtle sweetness, mild fruity nuances, and a strong umami note. Well-rounded and harmonious. This tea is perfectly suited for multiple infusions.
