The enjoyment of exquisite teas is more popular today in Germany and worldwide than ever before. In our modern production facility in Reinbek near Hamburg, the best and highest quality tea creations are put together on 36,500 square meters of storage and production space equipped with the latest technical machines for networked production - for cutting, blending, flavouring and packaging tea. From the refinement of raw materials to the packaging of the finished product, we design and manage the entire tea production process. In our tea wholesale business for resellers, you can obtain teas and tea blends that have been put together from selected ingredients with a great deal of know-how and experience in order to meet our - and your - highest demands.

History of the tea wholesale trade in Hamburg
The trade in tea has been a tradition in Hamburg for centuries. As the "gateway to the world", the Hanseatic city has always been a port of call for valuable tea raw materials and tea specialties from tea suppliers all over the world. The tea trade in Hamburg has flourished since the 19th century. In the early days, the goods came mainly from China, later also from Japan, India and Sri Lanka.
The brothers Carl August and Hermann Ludwig Wollenhaupt opened a rapidly growing tea trade in 1881 and contributed to the fact that by 1910, the volume of imported tea in the port of Hamburg had already reached almost 2000 tons. Just over 100 years later, 200,000 tons of tea were handled in Hamburg (as of 2015). Tea manufacturers were often based in the Speicherstadt and assembled ready-to-sell goods and blends from the deliveries in their tea factories in Hamburg, which were distributed throughout Europe.
